10-year-old dies in hit-and-run

Patna: A 10-year-old died in a hit-and-run in Patna's Jakkanpur police station area on Monday. Ayush Rajak was cycling to his grandmother's house on Nala Road when an unidentified speeding vehicle hit him from behind, killing him on the spot. Outraged family members and local residents blocked road, placing Rajak's body and demanding the driver's arrest and compensation. Police from Jakkanpur and Kankarbagh stations, led by SHOs Rituraj Kumar and Abhay Kumar, intervened to pacify the crowd and restore traffic. The body was sent to NMCH for a postmortem. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the vehicle and driver.
