Worker dies in Sarfabad as bolt gives way, scaffolding comes crashing down
Noida: A worker died and two others were injured when an iron scaffolding came crashing down on them at an under-construction seven-storey building in Sarfabad village on Thursday night.Mohit, who was on the upper portion of the structure, suffered critical head injuries and died, while two others — a father and son — were injured.

Police said the men were carrying out painting and scaffolding work when the accident occurred around the third-floor level. "A bolt of the iron scaffolding came loose, and a large section collapsed with a loud noise," an officer said.Mohit, a resident of Dharampur village in Hardoi district, was struck as the framework fell. Jeetu, from Ganguliyapura village in Rajasthan's Dholpur district, and his father Babulal were also hit while painting nearby, police said.All three were rushed to a nearby hospital. Mohit was declared brought dead, police said. Jeetu told cops he and his father suffered injuries to their heads, arms and legs. After primary treatment, both were discharged on Friday and are said to be out of danger.A neighbouring house was also damaged after a part of the scaffolding crashed onto its terrace.
A video circulating on social media showed the twisted structure on the terrace, scattered household items and blood stains at the site.A senior police official said Mohit's body was sent for an autopsy and later handed over to his family. "No formal complaint has been received so far," he said, adding that the exact reason the bolt came loose is yet to be established and further action will depend on a complaint from the affected parties.
