NOIDA: In a meeting organised by the District Development Residents Welfare Association (DDRWA), over 200 residents of Gaur City 14 Avenue engaged in a dialogue with the police personnel regarding issues such as security, thefts, traffic, unauthorised local markets, among others.

The public discourse was hosted by the DDRWA along with a local welfare group, Pahal Welfare Foundation (PWF) and also included DCP (central) Rambadan Singh, additional DCP Rajeev Kumar Dixit, ACP RC Pandey, senior inspector (traffic) CP Mishra, SHO Anil Rajput, outpost in-charge of Gaur City-1 Amit Kumar Balyan and outpost in-charge of Gaur City-2 Pramod Kumar.

Major concerns of the residents were the increasing incidents of thefts in the area and the need to streamline traffic during both morning and evening hours. Residents also demanded that the unauthorised market should be shifted to the authorized vending zone and patrolling be increased.

While DCP (central) Rambadan Singh assured to look into the problems raised by residents, he directed the junior officers and the SHO of the area to act on them at the earliest.
