Work on to fix feeders, jumpers; sectors face shutdowns for 4 hrs

Noida: Over half a dozen sectors faced shutdowns for upto four hours as power department initiated maintenance work on Tuesday.
The discom said they will replace dilapidated 11 kV feeders and worn-out jumpers on a 33 kV line on double poles, maintain the substation switchyard and prune trees over the next few days.
Power department's chief zonal engineer (Noida), Harish Bansal, said the work will continue until Nov 15.
"Repair and maintenance works are being planned on non-festive days to ensure there are no power cuts during the main festival period," Bansal said.
On Tuesday, repair and maintenance work was carried out at the substations in sectors 38, 93-B, 82, and the Hosiery Complex.
