Hence, the speech can't be screened on TV.
"We have asked the officials to ensure that schools have TV sets so that the programme can be screened. Alternatively, radio and mobile phones will be arranged so that students can listen to the PM's speech," said Ashok Kumar Singh, primary education officer.
Sardar Singh, principal of Government Inter College in Sector 12, said that they have made elaborate arrangements to screen the speech for the students. "We will air the speech on a big projector through internet," Singh said.
Few private schools have made slight changes in school timings for Teachers' Day as they feel it might be difficult for students to stay in school from morning to evening.
"Students will come to school in the afternoon and take part in cultural programmes, before the speech is screened. But it might be difficult to arrange for buses to drop students back home as the buses also ply office goers later in the day. Because of this, we've asked students to attend school on that day only if their parents can pick them up in the evening," said Renu Singh, principal of Amity International School, Noida.
