Noida: The Gautam Budh Nagar administration has made it mandatory for hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic laboratories with capacity of over 50 beds to register under the Clinical Establishments (Registration and Regulation Act) 2010.

For instance, hospitals registered under the legislation will need to have doctors and paramedical staff no less than the figures announced by authorities.
Medical facilities in the district have been directed to start the process of registration on the central government website. “Along with No-Objection certificate, the hospital, clinics and diagnostic centers will also have to give the exact number of medical and paramedical staff deployed at their facility along with the qualification certifications,” said Dr Sunil Sharma, Noida Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in a letter addressedto the facilities in the district.
The district health department also specified the registration fees – Rs 100 (provisional) and Rs 500 (permanent) for centres with 3-100 beds in rural areas; and Rs 200 and Rs 1,000 for similar centres in urban areas. For metro cities, the fees is fixed at Rs 400 for provisional registration and Rs 2,000 for permanent.
The structure is different for diagnostic and testing laboratories, the letter said.
