Noida: Garment manufacturer Sabs Exports International will invest over Rs 60 crore to set up a new manufacturing unit in the notified area of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA).
The company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from YEIDA on Tuesday, marking the initial stage of the land allotment process for the proposed project.
A govt-recognised export unit, Sabs Exports International specialises in design-based manufacturing of premium smart-casual knitted garments. Its primary focus is on menswear, along with select categories of womenswear. Officials said the proposed unit is expected to generate direct employment for around 400 to 500 people in the region.
The company currently operates manufacturing facilities in Noida and Greater Noida and exports to markets in Europe, the United States and Canada. It caters to mid- and high-segment multinational buyers and also undertakes production for leading domestic brands.
According to YEIDA officials, the investment is expected to boost industrial growth along the Yamuna Expressway corridor and strengthen the region's apparel manufacturing ecosystem.
The authority has issued Letters of Intent to multiple companies across sectors as part of its efforts to attract fresh investments and promote planned industrial development in the area. Company representatives said the upcoming unit will be developed with modern manufacturing infrastructure and aligns with the Centre's "Make in India" initiative.
Further details on the project timeline and commencement of operations will be finalised after completion of land allotment formalities, officials added.
