NOIDA: A 38-year-old Delhi-based businessman was shot at in Noida on Wednesday evening by an unidentified miscreant. The bullet missed him by a whisker and scraped his BMW.
The businessman, Mukesh Bhargav, said he saw a man armed with a pistol in one hand and a helmet in the other approaching him near Jaipuria Plaza in Sector 26. "Before I realized what was happening, he shot at me, then ran off across the road.

He probably had an associate waiting for him," Bhargav told TOI. "I saw the accused standing barely five feet from me when he fired the shot," he said. "I did not recognize him," he added. "On inspecting my car later, I found the bullet had scraped the right side near the windscreen," he added.
Police were alerted after Bhargav dialled 100. The shooting took place around 4 pm when Bhargav was returning to Delhi after meeting a friend in Noida. "Bhargav had come to visit a friend in Jaipuria Plaza located in Sector 26. He was attacked when he was trying to get into his car," said Shiv Ram Yadav, DSP, Noida. "Bhargav has a garment factory in Sahibabad and has told us he has no enmity with anybody," the DSP added.
