NOIDA: The 23-year-old engineering student who said that he was brutally beaten up by a group of seniors in an alleged ragging episode has now left the private hostel he was staying in. The police arrested three of the main accused who admitted to having “beaten up“ the student but not ragging him.
The victim's family members have now taken him home in Kanpur and said they would shift him to another accommodation when he returns to Noida International University (NIU), where he is a BTech student.
“We took him back home since he is disturbed. We will consider where to admit him next. His exams are to begin on October 13 and he needs stability,“

An FIR was registered against four students -Rituraj Kumar, Saurabh Kumar, Satyam Rahul and Andrew -all of whom were staying in Aryan Residency hostel in Knowledge Park.The police arrested Rituraj, Satyam and Andrew on Monday night and produced them on Tuesday before a chief judicial magistrate's court in Surajpur, which granted them bail.
