Navi Mumbai: The Turbhe MIDC police station's detection branch team cracked a minor girl’s kidnapping case within 8 hours. The cops have arrested , Imtiaz Munna Khan (20), a Turbhe store resident.
He kidnapped the two-year-old girl Alia Khan, the daughter of his neighbour Rafiq Khan.
Police sub-inspector BR Kapadnis said, “The accused and the complainant are neighbours for past 7 years.
Imtiaz used to fondle the girl and the father had a quarrel with him. On August 2 around 10am, he kidnapped Alia from outside her house.”
Imtiaz then called Khan and said that he was taking his daughter with him. Khan registered a kidnapping case. His last mobile tower location was traced to Lonavala at 2.44 pm.
A police team reached Lonavala but could not find him as his mobile was switched off. Later, he switched on his mobile and was traced near Pune.
The team deduced that he was travelling by train and sent a team to Kurduwadi railway station. As the Bidar Express train reached the station near Solapur, the local cops nabbed the youth and rescued the minor girl.
