‘Vendors at new mkt space don’t have licences’

Sanjay.Banerjee Navi Mumbai: Vendors who have shifted to the new market space behind Vashi bus depot are those without licences, said Union leader Prafulla Mhatre and Shiv Sena corporator Kishor Patkar. Thirty-eight of these vendors haven’t got the licence because they are illiterate but this time they will not be left out, Mhatre said. “Even the 15-year domicile recommendation won’t prevent them from getting a permit now,” he said. Mhatre has claimed that none of the licensed vendors, who took the lottery, have shifted to the venue. An NMMC official said a survey would be done on Thursday to verify the claim.
