'Doctor Ganesha' idol made by a Nerul vet pays tribute to all doctors and medical staff

NAVI MUMBAI: A Nerul based veterinarian, Dr Anshu Chauhan, has created an eco-friendly 'Doctor Ganesha' idol by using recyclable medical materials like gauze strips, stethoscope, syringes among others. Dr Chauhan said that her Dr Ganesha idol is to pay tribute to all doctors and medical staff, while also praying for their safety and wellbeing.``This is my tribute to all doctors who work tirelessly to serve the public. Lord Ganesha symbolizes wisdom, health and protection, which the doctors also strive to do in the society. Just as the Remover of Obstacles, Ganesha, brings hope and strength, I hope this tribute serves as a reminder of the immense contribution of medical professionals worldwide,'' explained Dr Chauhan.The other recyclable materials used in this idol were old newspapers (as the main frame), crepe paper and organdy.
