KTHM bags youth fest glory again

The K.R.T. Arts, B.H. Commerce & A.M. Science College, popularly known as KTHM College has once again made the city proud as they won the highest number of prizes in ‘Yuva Spandan’ cultural festival of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (MVP) institutes spread across North Maharashtra.

NASHIK: The K.R.T. Arts, B.H. Commerce & A.M. Science College, popularly known as KTHM College has once again made the city proud as they won the highest number of prizes in ‘Yuva Spandan’ cultural festival of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (MVP) institutes spread across North Maharashtra.
This is the fourth consecutive time that KTHM has won the ‘shield’ of Yuva Spandan.

“Yuva Spandan was launched in 2012-13 to mark the 100 years of MVP, one of the most prominent educational trusts in Maharashtra. Students of all colleges in the district get an opportunity to compete in 14 different literary and cultural events. It is held on the lines of Pune University’s Indra Dhanusha cultural fest,” coordinator of the festival Prof R K Mungse said.
Yuva Spandan offers a cultural platform to more than 1 lakh students in the district as the competition has a rande of events, starting from singing comeptition to instrument playing, dancing, skits, mimes, mimicry and literary events like debate and elocution.
MVP is considered as the second largest education society in Maharashtra after Rayat Shikshan Sanstha. With Rs 500 crore annual budget, MVP is a deemed university in the district.
The prize distribution of ‘Yuva Spandan’ will be held at Raosaheb Thorat Hall on December 17 where music director Kaushal Inamdar will be the chief guest.
