Nashik: A 38-year-old farm worker was killed in a honey bee attack in Jalgaon's Nimgaon village on Tuesday afternoon.
Identified as Ganesh Patil, the man had gone to the farm belonging to one Khumsingh Patil for work around 2.30pm. Inspector Rangnath Dharbale, of the Yawal police station, said, "Ganesh resided in Yawal town but went to work in Nimgaon every day."

While Ganesh was working on the farm, honey bees on one of the trees became aggressive and attacked him. He was seriously injured and fell unconscious. When the farm owner noticed the worker lying motionless, he took him to the rural hospital in Yawal. Ganesh was, however, declared brought dead.

The Yawal police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the same.
