Candidate takes gadgets inside exam hall; arrested
Nashik: A 23-year-old candidate appearing for the examination for the post of senior clerk in the agriculture department was allegedly found carrying a cellphone and other electronic devices in Mhasrul on Friday afternoon.
The material was found hidden in his footwear in the examination hall. The accused candidate was identified as Suraj Jarwal, a resident of Sagarwadi, Badnapur tehsil of Jalna district.
Jarwal was produced before a city court, which remanded him in custody until Monday.

The police said that the examination for the post of senior clerk in the agriculture department of the state government was being held at a center in Mhasrul. At around 12.15 pm, the supervisors noticed that Jarwal had hidden a cell phone in the heel of his footwear.
The Mhasrul police registered an FIR against him for the offenses punishable under sections 420 (cheating), 511 (attempt to commit offenses punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy), among other sections of the IPC.
