2 attack 38-yr-old man with sharp weapon at Nashik’s Viholi, booked

Nashik: A case was registered against two individuals for brutally assaulting a 38-year-old man with an axe-like weapon on Monday. The Nashik Taluka police said the victim Surajkumar Mohanlal Solanki was attacked by a man and woman around 5pm in Viholi.A video of the attack circulated on social media leaving viewers aghast. PI Mrudula Naik of the taluka police station of Nashik city said, "We have identified the suspects and it was a matter of time that they are arrested. Our teams have left in different directions to search them."Naik said Solanki had lent some money to the accused sometime back and there were constant quarrels over the issue between him and the suspects over the past few days. The quarrels led to the attack on Solanki on Tuesday evening.A police team of the Taluka police, stationed in Vilholi, was informed that a man was being assaulted with a sharp weapon by a male and female duo. Police rushed to the spot and shifted Solanki to the Nashik Civil Hospital. Police registered a case of attempt to murder against the two accused under relavant sections of the BNS. Police said Solanki remained critical, but his condition improved compared to Monday when he was brought to the civil hospital.
