Nagpur: To celebrate World Photography Day that falls on August 19, and to pay tributes to late Raje Laxmansingh Bhonsale, city’s photography group Swarchhaya organized a musical evening ‘
President of Orange City Photographers’ Club Dinesh Meher and senior photographer Tarachand Mudhgalkar were invited as the special guests on the occasion.
The artistes, who are all photographers by profession, included Dhananjay Bhisekar, Pramod Pekde, Vijay Gupta, Gajanan Rande, Richard Masiha, Anushri Kinariwala, Rutuja Bhisekar, Sharvari Nayak, Shreya Bhisekar, Snehal Ranade and Nidhi Ranade, who mesmerized the gathering with their vocal skills.
Unforgettable melodies like ‘Lag ja gale’ and ‘Aanewala pal jaanewala hain’ were sung by the artistes among the others. Recent Bollywood hits like ‘Pataka guddi’ and ‘Dil diyan gallan’ too delighted the gathering.
Some foot-tapping numbers like ‘Aaja aaja main hu pyaar tera’ and ‘Sar jo tera chakraye’ were highly appreciated. Famous Marathi songs ‘Tumhawar keli mi marji bahal’ and ‘Hi chal turu turu’ added magic to the programme. It was amazing to see how the artistes manage to keep up with their passion for singing along with their profession.
Dhananjay Bhisekar, who conceptualized the event, said, “People usually consider photography as an easy task. Little do they know how much dedication and perfection is required to capture a single picture.” Mahendra Dhole provided fantastic musical accompaniment and Jyoti Bhagat conducted the programme.
