3 labourers die in accident on Warud-Amravati road

Amravati: Three labourers died on the spot while many others sustained severe injuries when a truck and pick-up van collided head-on near Lakhara intersection on Warud-Amravati road under Benoda (Shahid) police station limits on Wednesday night.According to information, the accident occurred at about 9pm when the truck was heading toward Achalpur from Warud while the pick-up vehicle was moving from Morshi to Warud. Rajesh Ramesh Yuvnate (20), Pandharghati, Warud, Taufiq Shah Farooq Shah (32), Raipura, Achalpur, and Sheikh Najim Sheikh Sabir (40), Bilaspura, Achalpur died, on the spot. Mohd Nasir Mohd Sabir (45), Mohd Nisar Mohd Matin (38), Mohd Kaisar Mohd Matin (45), all from Achalpur, sustained critical injuries and were rushed to Nagpur for treatment. Mohammad Abid (49), Mohammad Mujahid (25), Abdul Mohd Arshad (28), all from Achalpur, and others too sustained severe injuries. Police immediately reached the spot on being informed, performed panchnama and registered a case.
