Three youths attack girl with blades

AKOLA: Ina shocking incident a 21-year-old college girl was attacked with blades by threeburkha-clad youths in broad daylight in Bajoriya Layout on Hingna road here onThursday. According to information received Supriya Chokhat, a firstyear student of Pharmacy College run by Gurudatta Education Society, was headingto her college on a Luna when the two youths attacked her inflicting wounds onseveral parts of her body. Supriya fell down and had to be immediately shiftedto general hospital for treatment. Police said the reason of theattack is one-sided love by one of the three youths, who attacked her. Accordingto Supriya's statement before the police, for quite some time the youth has beencompelling Supriya to marry him. A resident of Shiv Nagar Supriyafurther said that prior to the incident a girl named Mahak had phoned hertelling her to marry one Vinod Kowar otherwise she (Supriya) will face direconsequences. Supriya didn't pay any heed to the girl's call. Withinsome time, three scooter-borne youths approached the girl and started abusingher. Not satisfied with abusing, they attacked Supriya with blades and inflictedseveral cut marks on various parts of her person. Unable to bear the painSupriya almost instantly fell down on the road, police said. Somepersons immediately informed the police about the incident , who rushed to thespot and shifted the girl to general hospital. The incident has sent Supriyainto a state of mental shock. Police have registered an offence under Section324, 341, 509 read with 34 of IPC, against the three unknown youths on the basisof the complaint lodged by Supriya. Police is now searching forMahak to ascertain the facts. Police is yet to identify Vinod.
