Nagpur: Deputy CM
Eknath Shinde took a swipe at a former CM
Uddhav Thackeray saying those who did not respect the foot soldiers of the party, were shown the door by people.
Speaking at a
Shiv Sena (Shinde) party event in Bhandara on Saturday, Shinde said, "Shiv Sena is a party of foot soldiers. It's the grassroot workers who stand up during agitations and chant "Balasaheb Thackeray" with pride. But some people ignored the grassroot workers and were shown the door."
Shinde also visited the site of the upcoming water tourism project on the Wainganga river near Korambi village in Bhandara. He was accompanied by MoS for finance Ashish Jaiswal, MLA Narendra Bhondekar, additional district collector Rajendrakumar Jadhav, SP Nurul Hasan, RDC Leena Phalke.
The proposed project, currently under development on the banks of the Wainganga river, is aimed at promoting water tourism in the Vidarbha region.
