Teen impregnates 13-yr-old sister in Kalmeshwar

Nagpur: A 13-year-old Class 7 girl was found six months pregnant after repeated sexual abuse by her 16-year-old biological elder brother at their home in Kaleshwar village under Kalmeshwar police station limits, police said on Saturday.The matter came to light when the girl fell repeatedly ill, prompting her family to rush her to the rural hospital in Kalmeshwar. Doctors detected the pregnancy and alerted GMCH, confirming a six-month foetus. The girl remains under medical observation and psychological care.Sources said the boy, influenced by obscene videos on his mobile phone, began the assaults as "playful" behaviour that escalated over months. He targeted his sister whenever their parents went out for work.Kalmeshwar police rounded up the teenager the same day and will hand him over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) for placement in a govt shelter.Shaken family members are preparing to approach the Bombay High Court for permission to terminate the pregnancy, citing the girl's age, health risks, and the incestuous nature of the case.The incident rattled local authorities, with the Women and Child Development Department deploying the District Child Protection team to lead counselling sessions for both siblings.
