Commenting on the use of NOTA, Bhagwat remarked that rejecting all candidates does not serve democracy. “NOTA means rejecting everyone, but in reality, voters should select the available best option. Anarchy is a situation where there is no ruler, and that is the worst possible condition. Even the Mahabharata speaks about this,” he said.

He added that excessive use of NOTA indirectly benefits undesirable elements. “When we opt for NOTA, we often end up helping those we do not want,” Bhagwat cautioned, urging voters to make informed and responsible choices.
