Police nab 8 for brutal attack on bar manager at Hudkeshwar

Nagpur: Hudkeshwar Police arrested eight accused involved in a violent clash at a bar in Hudkeshwar on Thursday night.The incident occurred when bar manager, Tushar Wankhede, 38, refused to serve alcohol to a group as the bar was closing.Enraged, the accused, along with around 10 others, smashed almost 20 liquor bottles and broke glass windows, causing damage worth Rs60,000. The group also brutally assaulted the manager and staff with glass bottles. Wankhede suffered injuries on the head.The accused have been identified as Rishikesh Mandpe, 25, Vansh Shambharkar, 21, Akshay Meshram, 22, Sumeet Waghmare, 22, Rishabh Sonawane, 23, Yash Dahikar, 22, Sudhanshu Tembhare, 24, and one minor.A case has been registered under relevant sections of BNS, including attempt to murder. Further investigation is under way under the supervision of DCP Niketan Kadam and other senior officers.
