Musical treat for RD Burman’s fans

NAGPUR: To regale the fans of legendary R D Burman with a three-day musical fiesta on the occasion of the music composer’s 78th birth anniversary, Shri Siddhivinayak Publicity has organized musical shows on June 24, 25 and 26 at the Scientific Hall, Laxmi Nagar, from 7pm on all days.
The three-hour show titled ‘Magical Pancham’ will be held under the company’s ‘Diamond Forever’ series.The programme, divided into three parts, will feature local singers such as Sagar Madhumatke, Sarang Joshi, Shreya Kharabe, Sushma Kone, Isha Ranade and Nikhil Pandit. Samir Pandit, founder of Shri Siddhivinayak Publicity, shared at a press conference that none of the songs would be repeated during the three days, and over 100 songs would be presented during the ‘Magical Pancham’.
“Usually, three-day classical festivals keep happening in the city. I thought, why not have a three-day programme for lovers of light music?” he said. Musician Yogesh Thaker will be felicitated on June 25. He will also perform on that day.
