Nagpur: A youth guidance programme was organised by Matru Seva Sangh Institute of Social Work, Bajaj Nagar, under the Youth Leadership Development Initiative (YLDI) by Vivekananda Kendra. The event received enthusiastic response from students.
The event began with a welcome song by Dr Rajani Maheshkar.
"The power to change the nation's direction and condition lies within the country's youth. Therefore, every young person should be aware, enthusiastic, and active," said college principal Dr Purushottam Borkar.
Personality development is a continuous process, and for this reason, the Vivekananda Kendra has been conducting the YLDI for last 25 years, focusing on the physical, mental, intellectual, and spiritual growth of youth. Through YLDI, students will get opportunities to acquire life skills and managerial skills and participate in activities based on patriotism, service, courage, and intellectual themes, informed Asavari Kulkarni, Nagpur city head of YLDI, Vivekananda Kendra.
During the programme, a book ‘Ashtavadhani Shivray' written by Arun Karmarkar was released, and the poster of the YLDI was launched. Through PowerPoint presentations, songs, and games, Vivekananda Kendra's dedicated worker Santosh Kachre and Nagpur city co-head Nilima Ketkar interacted with the students.
The event was graced by Prof Keshav Walke, Prof Jyoti Nivade, Prof Prince Agashe, Prof Nandita Mane, and Dr Amol Gurjar. The programme was compered by Dr Supriya Pendhari. For the success of the event, efforts were made by Hitashi Arora, Pranita Sonekar, and Prof Pawan Chavan.
