‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ leaves spectators spellbound
NAGPUR: Songs of noted singer Sonu Nigam presented at a music programme ‘
The programme was organized by Awesome Entertainment in association with Nirmaya Bahuddeshiya Seva Sanstha.
Besides Nigam, the songs of Mohammad Rafi, Asha Bhosle and Shreya Ghoshal were also presented.
Singers Mayank Lakhotiya and Shreya Tanksale had the audience listening to them in rapt attention as they crooned hits after hits of the maestros. Mayank entranced the house with songs like ‘Mera rang de basanti chola’ and ‘Tum jo mil gaye ho’ while Shreya’s cover of ‘Mere dholna’ from ‘Bhootnaath’ left the spectators awed. Notable songs of Nigam like ‘Abhi mujhse kahi’, ‘Ab mujhe raat din’ and ‘kal ho naa ho’ were also presented.
Govinda Lakhotiya, who conceptualized the programme, sung ‘Main hoon na’. Shreya and Mayank performed duets like ‘Pal pal pal’ and ‘O haseena zulfonwaali’, making the audience tap their feet to the rhythm. A total of 24 songs were sung by the trio. The background music, provided by Awesome Entertainment, gave singing an edge.
A short video on the work of Nirmaya Bahuddeshiya Seva Sanstha was screened to make people aware of the charitable work the organization is doing. The organization works for the welfare of women in villages, providing them employment and better healthcare. It has been working for improving quality of life in villages around Nagpur.
Ravi Bhusari, Dr Shrikant Chorghade, Pramod Padole, Hemant Gadkari, Sushma Saraf and Shriprakash Panda were the guests.
Speaking on the occasion Bhusari said this show was just not an evening of entertainment but also a programme to support a social cause. He urged the people to keep giving back to the society while praising the work of the organization.
RJ Neel conducted the programme with his usual suave, keeping the audience entertained throughout.
