'ISO certification for new government hostels'

AMRAVATI: Minister for social justice Rajkumar Badole said on Monday said that the state government was making efforts to secure ISO certification for the new government hostels constructed under social justice department.
Dedicating Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Backward Class Boys hostel at Nandgaon Khandeshwar in the district to service of students today, Badole said that government is contemplating to equip these hostels with a high quality library and study room.
He further said that the government is also thinking over introducing CBSE courses at its residential schools. Assuring that girls’ hostels will have a female warden, Badole assured to fill up the vacant post of grihapal soon. tnn
He said residential competitive examination would also be run for students of scheduled caste and scheduled tribes.
MLC Shrikant Deshpande advised social welfare department to take care of cleanliness at the hostel and announced to provide a water purifier and water cooler from his fund to this hostel.
On the occasion, Badole conceded the demand of MLA Prof Virendra Jagtap for raising girls’ strength from 50 to 100 at Priyadarshini government girls’ hostel, Nandgaon Khandeshwar.
