NAGPUR: A thirteen-and-a-half-year old girl Pratiksha Gaur on Friday ran away from home following a fight with her mother over cooking dinner. The girl spent the night at Koradi temple, which is about 16-17km from her home, before calling her elder brother to inform about her location on Saturday. Pratiksha's mother Meena, who had lodged a missing complaint at Tehsil police station, brought the girl back home and took her to the police station.

As per Supreme Court orders, any disappearance of minors should be treated as kidnapping. PSI RP Jadhav of Tehsil police station had registered an offence under section 363 of IPC dealing with kidnapping on complaint by Meena Madan Gaur, 37, a resident of Jyoti Nagar Khadan near Durga Mata Mandir.
Pratiksha lives with her mother and elder brother following her father's death. She has two sisters, both of whom are married. Meena told cops that Pratiksha, a class eighth student, had left the house after being scolded by her. The drama started on Friday morning when Pratiksha was filling water and Meena was about to leave home for work. Meena asked Pratiksha to keep dinner ready before she returns home. This led to a fight between them.
Pratiksha was missing for about 12 hours and called her elder brother on his cell phone around 10.30am on Saturday to inform that she was at Koradi devi temple.
