Fight over water tanker leaves 2 injured

NAGPUR: Mohd Parvez Khan and his elder brother Mohd Tabrez Khan were injured after they were attacked by their neighbours over a fight that began a couple of days ago over sharing of water from a tanker at Sailani Nagar. The victims’ younger brother Awesh Khan and their sister Sumeiyya too were targeted during the attack on Saturday.
Yashodhara Nagar police have registered offences of rioting and assault against Rehmat Khan alias Munna, Ramzan alias Bablu, Mohd Bashir alias Raja, Shahzad and Naushad for allegedly assaulting Parvez and his brothers to avenge a heated exchange of April 30 this year over taking water from the water tanker.The culprits showered blows on Parvez and his elder brother Tabrez with sticks, axe and other objects. Parvez and Tabrez had earlier hurled abuses towards Munna and others, who were waiting to take revenge.
