Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis

on Sunday met the workers of

Nitika Pharmaceutical

, who suffered burn injuries in a massive blaze two days ago.

He visited Orange City

Hospital

and Research Centre (OCHRI), where a large number of factory workers are undergoing treatment. He also interacted with the

patients

’ families and assured them that state government will provide the best treatment and support.

Among the workers

injured

in the blaze, Pandurang Kandrikar’s body was found under the debris on Sunday. Sandip Pankule, who suffered 98% burns in the incident, died at Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGMCH) on Saturday Afternoon. 14 workers are undergoing treatment at OCHRI.

“Eight patients are still in a

critical

condition and we have to monitor them.But five patients are stable,” said OCHRI director Dr Anup Marar.In the meantime, three patients admitted at IGMCH are said to be stable and getting proper treatment. But they will take time for recovery.

State minister Sambaji Nilangekar also visited OCHRI and IGMCH on Saturday. However, two patients admitted at KRIMS have received no special attention. Dr Ashok Arbat of KRIMS said, “Their condition is still critical. We can’t say anything about their survival.”

Ravi Chandran, senior manager at Nitika Pharmaceutical, assured that the company will bear all the medical expenses of the victims.
