Fadnavis to launch 700cr XSIO project on Saturday

Nagpur: Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis will lay the foundation stone for the 700-crore XSIO Advanced Industrial and Manufacturing Park in Nagpur on March 7.Billed as the state's first intelligence-integrated, next-generation manufacturing campus, the project is part of XSIO's 8,142-crore investment plan across Maharashtra, covering Nagpur, Pune, and Mumbai. The broader programme is expected to generate over 35,000 jobs.
"By integrating digital intelligence at the foundational level, we aim to build an ecosystem where technology drives productivity and competitiveness. This project reflects our commitment to Nagpur and Maharashtra by fostering employment, technology-led industrial growth, and global investment," said Ashish Agrawal, the managing director of XSIO Industrial and Logistics Parks.The park, coming up at Linga near the Samruddhi Expressway, is projected to create around 2,500 direct and indirect jobs.The campus will feature AI-driven building management systems for predictive maintenance, energy optimisation, and operational analytics. It will deploy digital twin technology for real-time asset monitoring, performance simulation, and lifecycle management. Integrated utility networks support high-load, precision manufacturing, while ESG-aligned engineering systems will meet global sustainability standards at the park.Located along the NH-53 industrial corridor at the geographic centre of the country, the project is expected to strengthen Nagpur's position as a logistics and manufacturing hub and reinforce investor confidence in Maharashtra's industrial policy framework.Industries minister Uday Samant, revenue minister and Nagpur guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, and minister of state Ashish Jaiswal are expected to attend the ceremony. Senior officials, including MIDC CEO P Velrasu, Development Commissioner for Industries Deependra Singh Kushwah, and Nagpur collector Vipin Itankar, are also slated to be present.
