Nagpur: Several parts of the city will face scheduled power outages on Wednesday as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) undertakes pre-monsoon maintenance works to strengthen the network ahead of the rainy season.
In Congress Nagar division, areas including Sai Nagar 1 & 2, Giribalaji Nagar, Amrapali Nagar, Pawar Nagar, Navegaon and Dhamna will face outages from 8.30am to 12 noon. Nearby localities such as Venkatesh City, ITI Colony, Ocean Super City and Ozone area will see disruptions from 8am to 11.30am, while Deendayal Nagar and Swavalambi Nagar will be affected between 8am and 11am. Power supply on Ameya feeder will remain off from 8.30am to 12 noon.
Areas like RPTS Road, Laxmi Nagar, Shivaji Park and Dharampeth Extension will face outages from 7.30am to 11am, while Tilak Nagar, Gokulpeth and Canal Road will see cuts from 8am to 12 noon. Pratap Nagar, Trimurti Nagar, Bhamti and Somalwada areas will remain without power between 8am and 11am.
In Civil Lines, Aakar Nagar, Swami Colony, Prerna Nagar and Ganga Nagar will face outages from 8am to 11am. Mahal areas such as Mahal Chowk, Pustak Bazaar and Zenda Chowk will be affected from 7.30am to 10.30am.
In Gandhibagh, Shiv Nagar and Ghatate Nagar will see cuts from 8am to 10am, while parts of Bhandara Road will face outages from 10am to 12 noon. In Butibori, Bhivsen Khori and Woodland Society will be affected from 7am to 10am, while Hingna industrial areas will face outages till 12 noon.
MSEDCL said the works are essential to prevent monsoon-related disruptions.
