CBI traps WCL finance manager and jr clerk

Anti-corruption wing of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday caught WCL Niljai sub-area's two personnel for accepting a bribe of Rs2,000 from a garage owner to clear his pending bills.

NAGPUR: Anti-corruption wing of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday caught WCL Niljai sub-area's two personnel for accepting a bribe of Rs2,000 from a garage owner to clear his pending bills.
M L Paul, finance manager and Avinash Kakde, junior clerk, were trapped by CBI team of PI Pradeep Lande in Walni following a complaint lodged by Wasim Azim Khan who owned a garage.

It is learnt that Khan had furnished a bill of around Rs51,000 for having repaired an ambulance belonging to WCL. The officials, now in CBI net, were harassing Khan for money.
Searches were underway at the residences of Paul and Kakde.
