Mohan Bhagwat to address princis on ‘scripting human excellence’

NAGPUR: A mega conference of principals of reputed schools in India and abroad on the theme ‘Scripting the legends of human excellence through schools’ will be held as part of the 7th edition of International Principals’ Educational Conference (IPEC-2019) in Nagpur. The event will begin on November 19 at Chitnavis Centre, with the valedictory function at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on November 21.
The conference will be inaugurated by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.Renowned educator and founder of ‘Super 30’ programme, professor Anand Kumar from Patna, will be awarded the Nachiketa Sarvottam Puraskar for his extraordinary work in the field of education. The inaugural ceremony will witness the institution of Nachiketa Lifetime Puraskar. The programme schedule includes paper presentations and keynote addresses on various sub-themes.
The keynote address will be by Grammy award winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Karadi Path CEO and cofounder CP Vishwanath, renowned movie director Tejas Deoskar, neuro linguistic programming (NLP) practitioner and Helping Hands Singapore director Sudhir Pathak, and former Indian Air Force vice chief air marshal Shirish Deo (Retd).
This year, the endeavour will witness participation of nearly 350 principals from Kuwait, Gujarat, Punjab, Mumbai, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Hyderabad, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and 20 cities from around Nagpur.
The conference aims to examine the role of school and teachers as a part of the community in shaping children’s personality with in-depth objective of unleashing their human excellence to ultimately develop them into a harmonious, happy individual giving their constructive share to the society.
With this in mind, the conference has invited papers for deliberation on the theme’s dimensions like ‘What do I understand by human excellence’, ‘Rationalising assessment system to achieve human excellence’, and ‘Nurturing the need, urge and desire to excel’ among others.
Souvenir of the conference ‘Divyam’ will be released by engineer, innovator and education reformist Sonam Wangchuk during the valedictory programme.
The conference has been organized by South Point School, Omkar Nagar, in collaboration with The Royal Gondwana Public School, Scholastic India, Tychee Publishing and Sunflower Publishers Pvt Ltd. Mrunalini Dasture is the IPEC convener.
