Nagpur: Crediting the BJP-led NDA government for introduction of women’s reservation bill in Parliament, party’s Maharashtra president Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Wednesday targeted Congress for taking “false credit”.“Congress leaders are taking undue credit for the women’s reservation bill. Their leaders are competing with each other on who should speak first on the issue just to impress their high command in Delhi,” Bawankule said, adding that Congress was the party that sent back the bill from Parliament as many as 12 times. “So, they do not have any right to flay the government.”Bawankule was speaking with media persons during his visit to the Zilla Parishad office on Wednesday.The BJP state president said the party always wanted more women to join politics. He claimed that BJP boasts of more than 1.5 lakh women office-bearers.The senior BJP leader also accused then chief minister and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray of issuing unofficial orders to stop allotting District Planning Committee (DPC) funds to the legislators of opposition parties. “They resorted to such unethical practices in politics purely out of greed.
