Asst PI at Cyber Police Station assaults havaldar

Nagpur: An assistant PI at the Cyber Police Station allegedly assaulted and verbally abused a havaldar from his team on Thursday.According to the complainant-havaldar Prafull Thakare, a verbal altercation broke out with assistant PI Vijay Rane over the investigation of a case. During the argument, Rane attempted to snatch Thakare's mobile phone. When Thakare refused to hand it over, Rane allegedly assaulted him.Thakare met JtCP Navinchandra Reddy and informed him of the matter. Taking cognisance of the complaint, Reddy ordered additional CP to conduct an inquiry. TNN
