Amateur singers of Swardhara enthral

Nagpur: Young and new singers of

Swardhara Musical Group

presented the programme ‘

Chand Mera Dil

’ in a befitting manner at Utkarsh Hall, Mor Hindi Bhavan, Sitabuldi, on Sunday.

Enthusiasts who love singing and want to perform were given a chance to express their talent. It was a karaoke singing programme in which 23 songs were sung not only as solo but also as duets by a group of talented young artistes.

The programme commenced with the song ‘Jaadu teri nazar’ from the movie ‘Darr’ voiced by Chitrasen Waghmare. Some other songs sung by Waghmare that amazed the audience included ‘Ae zindagi gale laga le’ and ‘Aake teri bahon mein’.

Anita Totewar was loved by the audience as she voiced the song ‘Kya jaanu sajan’. Totewar also sang a wonderful duet ‘Bheegi bheegi raato mein’ along with Shivdatt Khandenath which received much appreciation from the listeners.

Audience were mesmerized by the song ‘Sochenge tumhe pyaar kare ke nahi’ sung by Jitendra Sahare. ‘Kya khoob lagti ho’ and ‘Woh ladki bahut yaad aati hai’ were other amazing songs delivered by Sahare.

Audiences’ amusement was witnessed as Seema Mule sang the song ‘Mujhe tum mil gaye’ as the audience applauded with great joy.

Khandenath by singing ‘Phir wohi raat hai’ did not fail to amaze the audience. Audience clapped and sang along with Khandenath while he voiced the song ‘Aaj se pehle aaj se zyada’.

Some amazing duet performances like ‘Phool tumhe bheja hai’, ‘Aaja re o mere dilbar aja’, ‘Bheegi bheegi raaton mein’, ‘Tujhe jeevan ki dor’, ‘Naa jaane mere dil ko kya ho gaya’ etc were dished out with aplomb.

The programme was conceptualized by Pravin Bhivgade, who is the director of Swardhara group and a singer too.
