Amateur artistes shine at SCZCC event
Nagpur:
These artistes, total 12, from various age groups presented songs, dance, and stand-up comedy at the event.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr Rajesh Tidke, Prakash Kulkarni, Vijay Dorle and Deepak Patil. It was followed by a rendition by compère Mohd Salim. Professionals like bankers, businessmen etc took this opportunity to exhibit their passion for art and also celebrate the talent of each other.
Kuldeep Uppal, 76, was the oldest performer of the evening. He said, “Music is my passion, I love to sing. Even at this age, I grab the opportunity to be a part of events that promote performing arts.”
Tanvi, a 14-year-old student of St Joseph’s Convent, was the youngest artiste who enthralled the audience with a classical dance performance.
The singers were accompanied by well-known musicians of the city like Sunil Ingle, a Guinness Record holder for playing percussion for five days at a stretch, on the dholak; Nitin Dangre on the harmonium and Nitin Vinchurkar on the octopod.

Organizer of the event Deepak Patil said, “We hold this programme to bring forth hidden talents. We promote raw talent and provide opportunity to people who are passionate about performing arts.”
Generally, SCZCC holds this event on the first Sunday of every month at Traffic Park, but it was shifted to their premises due to rains.

director Dr Piush Kumar more than three years ago. This event has provided stage to more than 700 amateur artistes of the city. It holds no barrier of age or gender.Generally, SCZCC holds this event on the first Sunday of every month at Traffic Park, but it was shifted to their premises due to rains.
