AG West Bengal emerge champs
Nagpur: AG West Bengal defeated Jammu & Kashmir by two wickets to emerged champions in the Indian Audit & Accounts Department (IA&AD) inter-zonal cricket tournament at the Civil Lines stadium on Friday.The tournament was conducted under the aegis of Accountant General Recreation Club (AGRC) of the Office of Accountant General (Audit) II, Maharashtra. Opting to bat first Jammu & Kashmir were bowled out for 145 runs in 19.3 overs with Sayan Ghosh claiming four wickets while Susanta Das and Vivek Kumar Singh scalped two wickets each. In reply, West Bengal chased down the target with a ball remaining. For the winners, opener Abhishek Kumar Raman top scored with a quickfire 41 (20 balls, 8x4). Waseem Raza took for wickets for 12 runs.Later Lata Mallikarjuna, IA & AS, Director General, Regional Training Institute, Nagpur, distributed the prizes. On the occasion, Praveer Kumar, Principal Accountant General (A&E)-II, R Thiruppathi Venkatasamy and others were present.
