Nagpur: The transport department of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has terminated the services of Aapli Bus driver Sagar Wasnik for alleged negligent driving and causing an accident on Saturday evening.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 5 pm near the Balbharati office on Maharajbag Road, when Wasnik, driving PM e-bus, allegedly rammed into a car. The collision caused significant damage to the front portions of both vehicles. No casualties were reported.
Preliminary information suggested that the bus was being driven at high speed and that the driver fled the spot after the accident. Based on this information, CCTV footage from the accident site was examined, following which the transport department concluded that the driver was at fault and initiated disciplinary action, terminating his services.
