33-year-old arrested for assaulting woman traffic cop at Shatabdi Sq

Nagpur: A 33-year-old man was arrested by Ajni Police for allegedly abusing, assaulting and threatening a woman traffic constable on duty.On May 4, around 7 pm, at Shatabdi Chowk, a traffic constable was performing her duty along with her colleague when she stopped a two-wheeler rider for rash driving and not wearing a helmet. The accused, Inzamamul Kaleem Khan, a resident of Kharbi, allegedly obstructed the police personnel, used abusive language and punched her head. He further threatened to abduct her.Based on a complaint, Ajni police station registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of BNS. The accused was arrested. Further investigation is underway.
