Walkathon tomorrow

Mysuru: Motherhood Hospital in collaboration with various colleges, women’s groups and Inner Wheel Club of Mysore West, Rotary Club of Mysore West, Karnataka State Obstetrics and Gynaecology Association has organised a walkathon on August 20 at 7am to mark World Breastfeeding Awareness Week. Mysuru royal family member Trishika Kumari Wadiyar will flag-off the event in front of the north gate of the Mysuru Palace. It will pass through Chamarajendra Wadiyar Circle, Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar Circle and end at Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple.Power cut tomorrowMysuru: As the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation will be taking up the second quarterly maintenance works, there will be no power supply from 10am to 5pm on Sunday in Christian Colony, Suryanarayana Temple Road, Al Bazaar Masjid Circle, BR Ambedkar Bhavan Rd, Quba Masjid Rd, Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kamanakerehundi, KHB Colony, Aseena Layt and Rajiv Nagar III Stage.Accident: Auto driver dead Hassan: A 55-year-old autorickshaw driver died on the spot and two others sustained severe injuries as a KSRTC bus hit the auto on the outskirts of the city. Murthy, the auto driver, died on the spot and two others were injured, police said. The bus hit the autorickshaw from behind at Hosakoppal. The bus was heading to Mysuru from Hassan, the police said.
