MYSORE: Around 400 students studying MBA at BN Bahadur Institute of Management Sciences attended an industry-institute interface programme on 'Entrepreneurship, innovations and competitiveness' at Rani Bahadur auditorium here on Friday.
Two first-year students, Namratha V and Tenzin Yangchen, said: "The programme was good and informative. By attending such programmes, we can gain knowledge which helps us prepare for future. By interacting with the experts, we gained practical knowledge about entrepreneurship."
Purushothama D R, a final-year student, said that the programme made them know the processes involved in becoming an employer. "The programme inspires us to become a leader and innovator," he added.
Ananya C S and Keerthana G K, two other final-year students, said: "We got to know about industry as speakers shared their experience." Another student Doan Thi No said that he is attending such a programme for the first time. "This helps us shape our career in the field of entrepreneurship," the added.
Mysore Chamber of Commerce & Industry president A S Satish said: "Today, India is reeling under inflation, and this is posing challenges for entrepreneurship. It is better to constitute a separate panel for trade and industry to provide employment."
Speaking about the programme, University of Mysore vice-chancellor K S Rangappa said: "Industry-institute interface is important for management students. Acquiring knowledge from experts in the field of entrepreneurship is also equally important."
