He said at present more than 4 lakh people belonging to various social groups are living in these dwellings and government has declared these dwellings as " illegal" . This tag on them by the government has forced them to lose all the facilities provided by the government to OBCs and poorer sections of the society , he pointed out adding that state government has different yard stick for different category of people. " If the people in Bangalore living in such illegal houses have got regularization letter and supplied with Khata extracts why people living in tier II cities like Mysore should not get the Khatas"? , he asked and said government should immediately initiate measures to regularize houses in Mysore on the lines of Bangalore .
Mazid said the government has spent crores of rupees on water supply system, but still people in major parts of the city are facing water crisis . Irony is despite KRS being located near here and chief minister Siddaramaiah and revenue minister Srinivasa Prasad hailing from Mysore have failed to attend to water problem , he alleged and said the water crisis needs immediate attention of the state government. On Thursday SDPI activists and supporters will start the protest rally from Lalith Mahal palace hotel and passing through lorry stand reach Shantinagar and from Shantinagar to Nazarabad till newly opened mini Vidhan Soudha , he disclosed ,adding that they will sit on dharna at the Mini Vidhan soudha.
