Residents block road over water supply
Residents of Agrahara Samakulam in Coimbatore staged a protest, blocking a road, to demand drinking water supply which had been disrupted for over a month due to a broken pipeline. The protesters dispersed after being assured by officials that the issue would be resolved soon. Areas such as Ashoka Garden and Punjabi Bagh were severely affected, with flooded roads and stormwater drains unable to cope with the flow of water. The power outage was worsened by an unresponsive call center and server failure. In addition, the lack of storm water drains and deteriorating road conditions further compounded the situation.

In other news, a woman in Delhi chased down thieves who snatched her phone, while residents in Vadodara discovered a 12-foot crocodile near their homes. Additionally, an assistant loco-pilot was killed in a road accident in Kanpur, sparking protests from fellow railway employees.
