Jain seers arrive for Chaturmasa

MYSORE: Jain seers Antharmana 108 Prasanna Sagarji and Paschima Sagarji Maharaj, who are on a visit to the city to participate in the Chaturmasa programme, were accorded a grand religious welcome on Thursday.
Mayor Purushottam performed padapuja to the seers and it was followed by a grand procession through which the munis were taken to M L Jain Boarding Home, the venue of the Chaturmasa programme.Over 500 Jain community members participated in the function.
The seers were later received at the boarding home on Chandragupta Road with Ashtadhwaja Malarpane and aaarati.
Bhuvanakeerthi Bhattaraka Swami of Kanakagiri, Chaturmasa Committee working president Vinod Kumar Bakliwal, honourrary president S N Devendraiah and president B S Prakash were present.
