'Appoint a localite as dist minister'

MYSORE: Vishwa Hindu Dharmasamrakshana Vedike on Sunday urged the chief minister to induct one of the BJP legislators from Mysore district into his cabinet, instead of continuing Shobha Karandlaje as district minister.
Forum's state chief S N Srinivasa Narsimhan told reporters the local legislators will be aware of the local problems and they will be better equipped to tackle the problems faced by district people."Though Shobha Karandlaje is capable, she would be ill-equipped to understand and supervise the works," he felt, adding many of the developmental works in the district have come to a standstill.
