The complainant then found that she also lived in Borivli (E).
The complainant and the woman started to text each other over WhatsApp and would meet often. In September 2022, the woman started to call him and started to behave differently. The complainant started to distance himself from her. When she insisted they meet once, he went along. She told him she wanted to marry him and added that if he refused, she would go to the police with a fake case of rape against him. The complainant tried to convince her that they could not tie the knot.
He urged his friends to intervene but she began to issue threats that she would get him killed if he did not marry her. The woman’s Facebook profile says she is associated with a political party and works with a media outlet.
