MUMBAI: Two persons were killed in separate mishaps in Wadala and Borivli on Monday.
A car that was being towed away rammed into a biker on Wadala-Chembur Link Road around 5.30 pm. Manojkumar Bhatra, 35, sustained severe injuries to his skull.
The car was not attached properly to the tow truck, which was being driven by Mukesh Gupta (21). The hook broke and the car cut loose, hitting Bhatra's bike and killing him.
Gupta later surrendered to the police and was booked for causing death due to negligence.
In Borivli (E), cyclist Pravin Singh (37) was killed after a truck rammed into him on the Western Express Highway. Dashrath Pal, the truck driver, was later arrested.
