Pawar has betrayed Maharashtra: BJP
Mumbai BJP unit chief Ashish Shelar has criticised Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar for opposing the Maharashtra Bhushan award to historian Babasaheb Purandare.
"By opposing the award to Purandare, Pawar has betrayed Maharashtra," he said, adding the Congress government did not think it fit to ban his books but now there is opposition to Purandare.
